yep, dirt day, this Sat 3/30 at Beacon. Meet at 9:30 AM, bring shovels, rakes whatever.
11 loads of dirt have been donated by Larkin Excavation. WSE and FTTRC are funding the bobcat work, led by Grant B.
This is in the new Parks approved designated dirt jump area laid out by Chris A and City Parks.

More info, check with Chris at WSE.

What geargrrl meant to say, was we're going to be moving dirt this Sunday at 9:30 AM, not on Saturday.

are you going to sift that dirt? it is FULL of rocks.
I'm guessing the rocks won't be sifted since it would be easier to pack dirt ontop afterwards.

then the park will be just like bellinghams old one. it will be great for the first year, then the rocks will come through, and there will be no way to maintain the jumps, then the won't be safe, and won't be ridden, and it will be a giant waste of time.

if the city wants these jumps to be maintainable, they need to do this correctly. take a lesson from B-ham. let's not build some half assed jumps.
