A few sundays ago there was a charity ride here in Toronto. They close off a large section of road and the cyclists take over.
There are three routes: a 75km, 50km and 25km, and I, or should I say we, did the 75km, of course.
I work full time as a mechanic at a shop here called Cycle Solutions, and we also have a road team.
Most of these guys here are part of the team and a few are employees at the shop.
The ride was lots of fun, even though it was not a race we still practiced pace line tecqnique etc.
In the last 25km I broke off with three of the other stronger riders and we kept a good pace, constant clockwise rotating pace line.
In the end we finished just over the two hour mark, the route measured 79km.
I had a great time, it felt awesome cruising along a straight at 45kmph with a pack of 12 riders wearing the same jerseys.
