Also what about some of the results that don't have the norba license # listed next to it? I assume its because I bought it the day before and had to put "Pending" in as my license when registering online.I am currently sorting through the results to break down the age categories. During registration there racers category was not properly recorded, but it will be sorted so that everyones qualification is appropriate.
i tried sending it once and since it was my last run of practice i wanted to get loose and try to style everything. came into a near inverted moto whip and didnt quite have the boost to clear it. i nose cased it by just a few inches which when i rolled down the lander casued my front to wash out and slammed down on my hip rather hard. needless to say i never tried it again.. slacking out the take off would make it a much more friendly jump that i would love to hitPure SICK!!!!
I normally will send just about any jump, but that last jump was bucking me way bad!!!! To steep of a take off for the speed we were hitting it with. I wasn't going to take the risk!!! My hats off to those that did take the risk!!!!!

Thanks Matt! I had a blast out there for sure. I have to give a huge THANK YOU to Andy DeVault for lending me his bike for the race. Took me a couple laps to get it under control, but it felt great after that. He also let me keep it until the Championships so I can get some practice in on it. Cant thank him enough for that. He is my official Sponsor for the Championships!Congrats to my neighbor Will placing first!
There's a qualified riders list if you dig deep although I'm guessing it will take a few days to get updated. Best I can figure, I qualified but am not listed yet.I looked on USA cycling and the age group for Cat 1 are still just 19 to 39. Are they hopefully going to be broken down further? like 35 to 39 would be good. Then I could qualify and be able to race again.
The link to the facebook photos says content is currently unavailable for me.Here are a few of the best pictures from the DH race from my camera, thanks to Mac McGee for taking pictures all day!

I finished 6th in Cat1 19-39 and I see riders that finished 11th & 12th that are on the qualifier list from Beech Mtn race that would be in my age group 35-39 class...The qualified list for cat 1 35 to 39 is updated. Not on it though. It looks to me like they did not split out age cats on the results...
What i was trying to say was if they broke out our age classes at the race instead of doing 19-39 everyone would have qualified...not too fair putting us all together. I got 19th but if we were broken up I would have gotten 4th or something. You have to be in the top 15. I just want to ride there again this year. Called USA cycling to clean this up. I hope.I finished 6th in Cat1 19-39 and I see riders that finished 11th & 12th that are on the qualifier list from Beech Mtn race that would be in my age group 35-39 class...
It looks like the riders in Cat 2 and 3 who didn't buy annual licenses aren't listed on the qualifiers list. Maybe that's just being processed? I dunno but that seems to be the consistent factor. What i was trying to say was if they broke out our age classes at the race instead of doing 19-39 everyone would have qualified...not too fair putting us all together. If you don't have an annual license and just got the one day then you cannot race national finals. I bought the annual so i could hopefully qualify and get to race twice. Not happening if they do not break out the race ages like they should. It was for sure fun and lots of good peeps there...It looks like the riders in Cat 2 and 3 who didn't buy annual licenses aren't listed on the qualifiers list. Maybe that's just being processed? The USA Cycling rep mentioned at reg before the DS on Sunday that if you qualify on a one day, you'll need to buy an annual license and then have USA Cycling connect your qualifying result to it. Otherwise they don't have a way to link the rider to the result. You also had the option of filling out paperwork for annual license on qualifying day and they would link your results together. It looks like the riders in Cat 2 and 3 who didn't buy annual licenses aren't listed on the qualifiers list. In October?? Do they have an event scheduled for Oct??I really hope i get to race here in Oct. Here is me vid! Ton o fun!

We all knew this day would come months ago. We should have all ponied up, slapped on the spandex and terrorized some XC races by pushing the climbs and sending it off the steep stuff (take the inside line away) to get the most out of the license.Bummer that cat2 races Friday. Kinda ridiculous to force us to pay for a license that we'll hardly use.
I like this except the bolded part that is just wrongWe all knew this day would come months ago. We should have all ponied up, slapped on the spandex and terrorized some XC races by pushing the climbs and sending it off the steep stuff (take the inside line away) to get the most out of the license.
But hey, I paid because next year I get to rag doll a friggin' NC bike park with 4 up DH racks!!!
Did you have mud spikes on? The lip is not really steep at all, its just a big ole tabletop.I normally will send just about any jump, but that last jump was bucking me way bad!!!! Yep, agree 100%. Spend some time on proper DJs and that lip is very mellow. The lip is not really steep at all, its just a big ole tabletop.
Having a 38 year old motor running on an empty tank in the 50 feet of sprint leading up doesn't help either. That tabletop is a skill jump. IMO, a jump is not too lippy if you can hit it at full speed and stay low and that is what I was doing. You can't have a super mellow lip and expect to clear 35 feet on a jump that size. To clear it, you had to boost it and that is where the risk/skill comes in.
I meant end of Sept. sorryIn October?? Do they have an event scheduled for Oct??
I sure do hope so. Contacted USA cycling to see if I can get anything done about it.Does anyone know if the downhill results will be broken down further and resubmitted.
