Since I last rode my Hardrock. Bike has been hanging in my garage since. Other than put air in the tires, is there anything you guys strongly recommend before I start riding again?:)

Thanks. I did stroll around the neighborhood for a bit and the brakes were strong enough to almost throw me over the 'bars when I hit the wrong one...:D

Oh, you mean like cable fraying and stuff?

I know, I know. I blame it all on my 10 mo. old son. :p

Thanks for the prompt replies guys. This place is as great as I remembered it. :thumb:

It wouldn't hurt to clean and lube your drivetrain. After sitting for a year the old lube might have gotten a little sticky.

maybe check the fork to see if it still has any oil in it, some forks will leak oil if stored upside down. If you've got a manitou fork with microlube ports squirting some grease in wouldn't hurt. If you've got vee brakes you may want to replace the pads as they may have hardened up a bit. If you want to be really thourogh you could check to see that the hubs still have plenty of gooey grease, check the headset too if it's got loose balls instead of cartridge bearings.
