    I couldn't get the hole drilled strait so it leans back a bit but it's probably ok. Wouldn't work if it wasn't on a tower.
    Or, I could turn the arm sideways but then it would lean to the left. I could drill more arms or use an aluminum one, which would be easier to drill...

    I could tell by the welds it wasn't fancy, but still very cool.

    Cool idea! I have an old shock I want to make a handle out of!
    Both of my brothers will be here in 2 weeks so this may be the motivation I need to finish it by then and show it off!

    why can't you rotate the arm 180 degrees? seems like it would then be pointed straight up...

    It still isn't perfectly strait up/down but better. I need washers to stop the thing from threading too far.... which I don't have on hand.
