The best moment for me was in the Tour when Thor got into a break on a mountain stage and was out by himself collecting green jersey points. I was really hoping he would win the stage as well. That move shut Cav up. The whole time I was saying: "Cadel needs to grow balls like Thor!" :)

<edit> the best moment doesn't have to be a pro race...maybe you have a good riding story to share.

If we're going to say the best day of racing in '09, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better day than that, good call!
To Cav's benefit, he really did say pretty much "yeah, he put up," ego or not, he's a sportsman.

Trying to think if anything else really stands out, I think maybe Fabian's TT world champ ride was pretty ****ing outstanding. He's a machine, otherwordly.

Basso's comeback: not so shabby, we'll see how he is with a year of racing under his belt. Lance was the big comeback, but I always had a soft spot for Ivan.

I was really hoping Basso would win a grand tour this year. Still, top 5 in Giro and Veulta isn't bad. Like you said, maybe next year.

When I won my the ebay auction for my road bike.
I always seem to get outbid at the last minute :( What did you get?

It has to be the assholes that painted the direction arrows over with black squares on a local charity ride that took place today. I'm really f*#king glad I marked them all so well. I would follow this closely with the old man that drove up and down a country road to get in the cyclists way. It was really punctuated when he "nudged" me into the ditch. Wearing a club jersey as I was, I chose to take the high road and not encourage him to stop. I will know where he lives this weekend though.

Thor kills it. Period. He is only second to Jens Voigt in my book.

My cross bike and gold shoes will be best moments too.

It would have been awesome, but too much to ask. Top 5 in both Grand Tours that he rode this year is a pretty great year for just about anyone. Next year I think should be interesting...
