And I don't mean Yentl.

I personally like Mallrats best. Embarrassingly enough, I am even throwin out Clueless.

Soundtracks for Snatch and Lock, Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels. As far as MTB films, I'll give a nod to the soundtrack for The Collective :thumb:.

Best soundtracks ever are Forrest Gump and Dazed and Confused. Oddly enough, as it is the sweetest movie ever, Big Lebowski has a pretty messed up soundtrack.

Fight Club, Dust Brothers had never done a soundtrack and put together a sweet one!

Spawn: collaborations of dj's and metal bands, brilliant.

Karate Kid- "You're The Best Around" is a kick ass song. Play it before a ride, and you'll ride the fastest you've ever ridden.

"...You're the best around, no one's ever gonna take you down!..." That's right, no one's ever gonna take me down! Damn that song just makes me wanna go out and do the best I can do!

As far as 80's movie montage sequences go, Karate Kid is near the top in my book. Usually the best montages occur in 80's karate flicks, like Bloodsport or American Ninja. Or those kickboxing movies that star Cody the "Codemiester" from "Step By Step"

The Committments - It may not get you pumped up for riding but it has some sweeet ass soul.

Koyaanisqatsi - Kick ass film, Phillip Glass is a master of minimalist composition.

Anything by John Hughes.

I'll have to give a nod to whoever mentioned Bad Brains. Best punk band EVER.

as far as setting mood and helping a movie best two are requiem for a dream and pi, if you turn off the music or turn it down a lot the movies are so much less intense they arent even worth watching. plus all orginal music i think
