I have the 26" seatstay with QR dropouts, rides much better than with the 24" wheel on it. Much better over brake bumps and rough stuff. Prob with QR can be solved by using Atomlabs Aircorp rear hub, also QR hub but you can also put a bolt in on each side. Bolt-on system really worked out for me.

It affected it in a great way, i found the bike to be more stable at high speeds although I think it turned better in short turns with the 24" wheel in the back. But the main advantage as far as I'm concerned was that it rode better over all the rough stuff such as roots, rockgarden and brake bumps. With the 24" you'd be in for a rough ride on some tracks but with the 26" it felt smoother.

www.betd.uk.co I think. I am ordering one for my comp. Makes the travel 7.5 extends the wheel base a bit and raises the bb heigh a tiny amount. Exactly what I wanted too, my feels to low sometimes and Ireally didn't want to go to 9in of travel.

BETD makes 3 stays

stays for BH DH, QR, 26" wheel, 8.9" travel, +20mm wheelbase

stays for BH DH, as above but with 12mm TA.

stays for BH comp , 26" wheel, 7.5" travel, +15, 20mm wheelbase. no effect on geometry....

I find I really drvie the bike into the ground around corned, I also like a lot of sag. The higher bb will be awesome.

And yes...I love her too. Awesome bike. 6.5 inches of travel has left me wanting some more sometimes, which is why I am getting the extension. oh and the 26" wheel will be awesome. All for 500 cdn. Thats a smoking deal to make a good bike that much better :)

I would have got the old bighit if it would fit a 26 inch wheel. Does anyone know if the new bighits will work in conjunction with a 26 inch wheel? My friend has one but he really never rides anymore. :nopity:
