Seems the list of suspects is something like:

1) ISI - with or without Musharraf's backing
2) Taliban / tribal dudes
3) AQ

Why would the US, well, Bush call for continuation of the elections? Is Pervert that much of our lapdog that we want to ensure him staying in office? He hasn't met any of our requirements for the billions of military and government aid we've sent their way.

The big Al-Q is claiming responsibility for the attack, but why wouldn't they? Easy publicity.

I think cheney planned it...:greedy:

I've never understood this. If your so unhappy with the way the government is going, why would you boycott the election? We won't vote and they get to stay in power, that will show em. what a great idea :monkey:
:stupid:

Then they'll bitch at the outcome of the election. :disgust: I don't even get why they are having elections, I would be willing to bet if Musharraf lost he would go back to being head of the military and then have another coup in a year or two and regain power.

edit: thats some great spelling on the captions, heh
If old Saddam knew how things were going to turn out I bet he would have shot first, asked questions later

If you go to the vote and lose, the elections can seem legit and your opponent can claim victory. If you boycott, blaming your reasons on the opponent, you can continue to claim that the election isn't properly representative, which of course it isn't, because you chose to make it so.

It's like riding the bomb out of the plane, rodeo-style...

Still seems like a dumb idea to me. Either way you don't get the change that you wanted.

So a sort of Venn, vidi, vici then? :brow:

I wonder how many will actually get that one?
Only mildly amusing, combined with a tad of pomposity...I'll send this one back and try another vintage.

Well, yeah, but people are only doing in cases when they're not going to get the change they want anyhow.

Doesn't make much sense to people who live in a relatively stable democracy, but it might to those whose world is a little different.
