Might do a Montana and back through Wyoming roadtrip in early July and considering taking DH bikes and spending a couple of days riding each of these.

Has anyone ridden them lately and can comment on what they're like? @rideit?

I have some friends that drive up from Utah to Big Sky about once a month last season. It's that good. They stayed in Island Park Idaho and drove up to Big Sky and down to Targhee. Teton Pass is always fun to shuttle. Well worth the drive.

Grand Targhee is a blast. Super fun, and there is amazing XC/Trail riding as well (around 40 miles or so).
Teton Pass is also amazing, should be on everyone’s bucket list (IIRC you have done Phillips Ridge? )
Would love to rally around with you on the normal (non true DH trails).
Jackson Bike Park is good for a few hours, but multiple laps on the Pass is a MUCH better use of your time.

Not sure on our exact timing, just that it will be end of June/start of July.

I need to look into the trails off the pass to see if they're too spicy. I'm not a jumper and wife isn't either.

Big Sky is worth at least 2 days, I get out there for 6-10 days a year from Boise. It truly is really good. I'd say a day at Targhee and a day riding the Teton Pass is also well worth. Pass is awesome and always easy to get shuttle laps in. Targhee is fun, but not at the same caliber. Still worth it if in the area. But Big Sky is quickly becoming a 'must visit' mountain. I'll be up there the 4th through the following Sunday and hoping to get at least 2 days lift served in.

I'd also highly recommend a day at Discovery Bike Park (just north west of Butte). Its a small hill but just so dang well done and fun. And at least a day up in Whitefish on Whitefish Mountain. Not a lot of trail but solid vertical and each are well done and a blast. There is a cool freeride spot near Whitefish called Spencer Mountain that has some proper old school 'shore type' lines that is worth an afternoon of lapping.

Too high up on this trip, but on the list for the future for sure, 8+ years since I was in Whitefish and Butte.
