I've got $3k set aside for a spring DH/FR bike purchase and the BigHit2 (with 888RC2 upgrade) is on my short list of possible bikes. Seems like a better deal than the Norco Shore 3 with same upgrade. But there's still many months before I buy anything.
At least the black bighit 2 will look really nice with white 888s!

I'll give you $1100 off an '05 Scott High Octane 1. ($3500) or a $1900 off a custom built Sinister R9 ($4000.)
I forgot to mention that the R9 has a Dorado Fork and Avalanche shock and the High Octane has a Boxxer and a DHX shock.
Yeah, complete! For almost the same price as a frame and fork!

Hehehe. That looks like the VPFree I couldn't afford to buy as a complete bike. I liked the black better but that looks pretty sharp. How much did powdercoating set you back?
I wouldn't mind the BigHit1 with a DHX/888RC2 but I don't like Hayes brakes and the front wheel would need to be rebuilt for 20mm which is a drag. I figure it like this... If I get the BigHit 2 for $2000, sell the rear shock for $150 and the Drop Off Triple for $300, I could put a $1000 888 and a $400 DHX5 on there and come in just under $3000, or a couple hundred more than a BigHit 3.

so its 3500 for the complete scott and 4000 for the sinister? or is it 2400 for the scott and 3100 for the sinister
well the new big hits upped the rear tire size to 26"
