So my girlfriend isn't into biking. But wanted her to try it out. Got a killer deal on the frame (Trek Remedy 2016 17.5") and did some digging in the parts bin.

RS Pike rct3 (reduced to140mm)
DT Swiss 481 rims on 240hubs
11 speed Sunrace cassette 11-46t
Shimano XTR 32t
Bontrager Line pro carbon bars (going to cut them down to her)
only 160mm rotors so the brakes are not as powerful in the beginning
Woman specific saddle
KS Lev dropper 150mm

What did I miss??
Anything special that I should think about?

Decent tyres, suspension, dropper, gear and brakes and hopefully the right frame size looks like you've got everything covered.

Just remember she's a beginner and the bike will likely get dropped and beat up a little.

Snow cover seems to be thin in Sweden these days. :D nice bike, are you guys dentists? ;)
It won't work without a good looking helmet though.
Around my parts there are more snow then in many years, but that means that I get to sit and think about it.
Pictures are from when she tested it for size.
Nope not dentist, but I work in a nice bike shop and can get some parts for a good prize.
I bought her a decent helmet...

Any suggestion? I have a boyfriend and he wants a bike for his birthday. What is the best bike for him?

Different grips, something push on and smaller odi vapor/float or Liv silicone foam, and little grip glue of some kind. With a good aluminum bar end. The liv grip is really good if you like smaller diameter grips.
