has anyone ridden the maverick ML7 ... what do you think about it?

the geek behind the counter mentioned that all the groupo sets prices are going up like 15% next year... ouch.

I really like my Enduro. It's perfect for the stuff we ride here in Colorado. Plenty of travel to soak up the rocks and still light enough to pedal on the really long days. The 4 bar linkage helps a lot with that too. The only thing I didn't like about it was the fork. I don't know what the '04s have on them though.

I really like the new Enduro's, solid trailbikes they are.
Dont overlook Giant for the real bargains, they tend to have the best bang for the buck.

Enduro's rule as do Fox forks! The Enduro will be changed for '05 so don't buy now if you are one of those who like to have the newest $hit. Of course the price should be good being end of the year and all. Go for it if you want a truly killer all-purpose bike for a great deal.

the deal with the increase is the worlds available steel and aluminum was all but bought up by china. making it extremely difficult for anyone on any sort of production faculity to do their jobs with actually producing things.

oh and it doesn't help that the euro is doing better than the "almighty dollar". so what limited supplies from shimano there already are (they only make so many dura-ace/xtr stuff a year) that much harder to get our hands on. simply b/c shimano is sending everything to europe b/c they can make a decent amount more by that move......

as for the maverick....that bike is a pretty damn nice FS bike. there are some reviews on this site if you go and search for em..

i have an enduro expert, it's been good to me, the only complaint i have is a low bottom bracket height. Other than that it's been durable, sufficiently aggressive, yet a brilliant climber, alot of bang for the buck.
Damn_True said it best when he stated that the Enduro is the Swiss Army Knife of mt. bikes......

The Enduro's BB is 12.9" stock, if you flip the link it raises to 13.2". I believe those #'s are for a 4" fork, possibly 5". That's plenty of BB height for me, anything more starts to feel top-heavy on a trail bike. Older Enduro's had much lower BB's (11.XX")

I fully agree with the Swiss Army Knife comparison. If I had to have one bike, an Enduro it would be. In fact I exclusively rode a 2002 Pro for a year until it broke from too many trips down the DH trails. I think that where mine broke has been addressed and is no longer a problem.

wow, this got hijacked.

i've never ridden a maverick. with all of the improvements in fs performance over the last couple years, i doubt the benefits of the maverick design offer much more over the current offerings out there. blah blah blah.

prices are going up for a myriad of reasons. someone mentioned the weakening of the dollar versus the euro (and most every other currency too?). i guess that's a good reason, but it's not the only.
