Excuse me if this is a repost, but is it official that Beech is going to be open for a bike park this year? I've also heard a sweet little rumor about 26 West potentially reopening... Can anyone verify any of this...

Seeing as there's minimal snow to be skiing on, I'm bored want a reason to build up a DH bike.

I hope you are right!!!!!!!! about beech last I heard is that they were only going to be open a couple of weeks

Per every person at Beech that I've talked to, they are ramping up for a park but want to have beginner & intermediate trails in place before actually opening a full on park.

They've committed to a set of 3 races next year and some possible "open" weekends of riding and Nationals. They are shooting for 2013 for an actual full on park.

I'd be fine with them just mowing some paths down it and signage on what's there, but they want to do it right the first time apparently and I have a hard time faulting them.

I'll buy a season pass (well 2, one for me and one for my wife) when they get to that point.
