So I've started digging a pump track in my back yard and have been thinking about a 26" dirt jumper for playing around on. I'm looking for suggestions for an inexpensive bike. I'm thinking rigid singlespeed but I really don't have any clue what to look for in this category.

Comencal Max Max is all rigid, 26" DJ, with good geo, and is relatively inexpensive. They are available through bike shop supplier www.bti-usa.com (although for 2009 only comes in FUSCHIA, so try to get a 2008 in black) . I'm not saying it's a great bike, but it'll do the job. There are several dudes around here that ride em and have not broken them.

Call S&M see if they still have complete Black Market 357s and Riots. They were blowing them out for cheap when I called a couple of weeks ago.
