being myself, i dont like spending lots of money on things. i needed a bike stand and didnt want to pay the money for one so i made one...i used 3/4" galvanized pipe and some elbows and a cross pipe. it holds the bike under the seat (i didnt know what to do about a clap for the seat post) it does a great job and i payed only $30.

you are definitely going to want to make up a clamp of sorts for it. working on bikes that are moving all around sucks.

Get down to one of those giga-sized Home Despots. I seem to remember seeing mountable clamps designed for pipe in the one in AZ. Should be perfect.

I recall a PVC bike stand someone built (I think it was here) that had calmps too. I think a search would work, or google.
