Wifey has a new car. Got offered way less than KBB trade-in for the car, so going to sell it on Craigslist. I need to make $650 more than they offered us and we're ahead. Shouldn't be too hard given KBB for private party is $6k higher.

But we now have 5 cars...

Was trying to avoid buying anything today, but just got the email for the 2020 MTBParks pass, so had to indulge for the 5th season in a row for wife and I.

directly above the center of the earth
per the NWS the next few days should be interesting

Forecast models are in good agreement that southerly winds will
begin to pick up early into tomorrow (Saturday) morning, becoming
stronger through the course of the day and into the night. At this
time, the strongest winds are anticipated to arrive through
Saturday evening and into Sunday along the entire coastline. As
with many of last year`s strongest wind events, there is a
localized bullseye of wind gusts of 65-75mph from the Monterey
Peninsula (primarily from highway 68 southward) down to Point Sur
which is the area of greatest concern for winds at this time. A
high wind warning is in effect for the Sonoma, Marin, San Mateo,
and Monterey coastlines. San Francisco and Santa Cruz coastlines
and all other inland areas are covered by a wind advisory. These
winds are strong enough to knock down trees and power lines,
leading to the potential for power outages.

Forecast models also agree that there will be an initial shot of
lighter rain arriving by late morning to around noon on Saturday,
with steadily intensifying rain into the evening and overnight
hours. The most intense rain rates are then expected to persist
overnight and into Sunday. Lighter intermittent rain/rain showers
are then expected through much of early next week as secondary
disturbances continue to tap into the subtropical moisture plume
entrained by tomorrows upper low. As for storm total rain,
orographics will play a tremendous role (and inversely drive rain
shadowing effects as well) in rain amounts. That said, the coastal
ranges of Big Sur and the Santa Cruz mountains are forecast to
receive the most precipitation, on the order of 6 to 8 inches,
with the wettest spots surpassing 10. Coastal North Bay ranges
should see 4 to 7 inches, while most urban areas should anticipate
2 to 3.5 inches of storm total rain. Rain shadowed areas, such as
San Jose and portions of the Salinas Valley will be on the lighter
side, ranging from 1.25 to 2 inches. These rains will be
sufficient to cause mud/rock slides in higher terrain as well as
widespread urban flooding in poorly drained or low lying areas.
Larger rivers and reservoirs will not be of concern with this
storm system given we are coming out of a prolonged dry stretch
and river gauges suggest they have ample water storage to spare.
Finally, a flash flood watch is in effect for the Kincade Burn
scar, primarily due to the increased risk of debris flow following

My wife left a brand new pair of Smith’s sunglasses in the rental car, was pretty pissed, but she reminded my that she basically has to do everything but wipe my ass for me for the next month. That shut me up pretty quick.
But goddamn I like those glasses.

Did you try calling the rental office?

They don’t take phone calls, online lost and found process. Already did it. But it was a super budget joint, I don’t have high hopes. I wouldn’t really expect the minimum wage dude or dudette not to just say ‘SCORE!’

How much more sales tax on the new car did you pay without the trade?

For Douglas County that'd be 4.0% x what the trade in value would have been. More of a factor for me up in Denver County, where it's 8.31%.
