just got my bike back from the shop, w/ the newly-installed NS-1 chain guide on my joker. problem is, in the lowest 2 gears of my cassette, it rubs the top plate. i doubt i could run a shorter spindled bb, but perhaps (there's a bit of crank clearance wrt to the swingarm).

or should i just file down the plate so that the chain doesn't hit anymore (which is kinda what the chain has started doing, after today's ride).

thanks,

tim

I have the same chainguide with the same problem. I just bent the back of the top plate away from the chainring a little to eliminate the edge for the chain to catch. You could cut it away, bend it away, or something like that.

Cool thing about chainguides, you can modify them and not usually run into any problems.

KD - thanks for the reply, i tried your method a bit and seemed to have backed it off enough to eliminate the rub. should be riding w/ some friends tomorrow AM, pre-turkey, so will figure out if it's working ok when not in the bike stand as well.
