Sorry for my English but what does depressed means when refered to the lever, pull toward the bar or original location?

Do you need to take the caliper off the bike to bleed (xtr disk)

Towards the bar.

I would do it off the bike at all possible, you don't want to risk contanimation of the pads so take them out.

If you need more help, you know where we are.

You can leave the caliper on the bike, just take the pads out and clean up any spill on the caliper with rubbing alcohol before putting the pads back in. Shimano uses mineral oil so it will not hurt your paint.
