What's happening out there racers and riders. Well our first race was a big success!! Thanks to everyone who came out for the beautiful weekend we had here at Blue Mountain. The skies were sunny and the temperature was just right for the first annual PA State Championships - Blue Mountain Cup. The first of three weekend events that comprise the Vertical Earth Gravity Series. Riders from all over the world attended, including Kieran Bennett from New Zealand (spelling).

I wanted to thank everyone for their feedback and constructive criticism. We can take it no worries. Their were a few speed bumps that we already either found the answer or have already addressed it for the next time. So we can agree there were a few points we can improve upon for the next race. As for the trails.... I feel we received pretty good reviews with the exception of a lack of true Cat 3 or beginner like runs. The mountain is most definately an expert mountain and a steep one for our area here in Eastern PA. We are currently making our beginner trail for our Fathers Day event on the 21st. This truly is a beginner trail that will mostly be on the ski slope on lower Burma that will give our more novice riders a fun long trail to ride on.

The mountain is very impressed with the riding community we have to offer and even has committed to camping for the next race. YES ! Were building and improving the trails every day to bring you a MTB park soon. We will have a few open build days in the future for anyone who is interested so we'll keep you posted.

Thanks for the great first event everyone, see you on the 21st !!
