Has anybody with a blur 4x experimented with or used an 7.875x2.25" shock on the bike? The stock length is 7.875x2.0". I'm considering getting a new shock (DB or RC4 coil) for the bike, and would like to bump up the travel that extra little bit if it would work.

Anyway, just wondering if anybody has tried it and can tell me if there is any clearance/rubbing issues by going this route.

There's been some discussion about this on MTBR in the Santa Cruz forum. I think somebody successfully ran a 7.785x2.25 coil without any seattube interference, but supposedly an air shock in that size does cause interference.
