Hm...interesting. Let me know if you're serious OPT.

Also thinking of selling my old Bklyn BMX bike, #19 (in honor of Doug Henry, and the RL is #22 for Chad Reed.) Torn about including custom goodies from the Diggity, like the squish fork with a burley polished crown. It's got a sweet paint job, deep opague-ish blue with a hint of royal in bright light. The tubes weren't polished before paint so the 4130 markings would show through. Looks pretty cool and low-key since you can only see it in certain light.

You're both missed!!

And I also miss the Gustavs you won in 05 answering a question about BMW!!! <Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah> {I just cant let go....}

:pirate2:
I didn't win those brakes, I thought you did! And if you didn't, then who did? Bastids!!! I merely supplied Tremain with the extremely uncreative unchallenging trivia question. :imstupid:

i've been 1.5yrs on my racelink and I still love it. such an awesome ride.

Thinking about having it repainted this winter. I want to try and do a gold chrome color. Any suggestions besides gold plating it? Can you powder coat over chrome to get a shiny color effect?

Check out tigerdrylac.com and ask for a color sample catalog. There are powder coated chrome finishes that work well as base coats, but alone they tend to make your frame look like a christmas tree ornament:busted:
For the effect you want, with powder, you'll probably lay down a chrome powder base coat followed by one coat of candy translucent color, topped by at least one coat of clear. If you add any flake or sparkles, do it in a fourth coat of clear as the additives tend to precipitate into the candy coat which cause a slight light warping effect- it looks like light is "dimpling" around each grain of sparkle.

Anyway, sorry for not contributing more eye-candy. Life in Brooklyn has been really busy. Heres the tip of the photo iceberg:

Old School:
Kickin it East Coast style since 1999, this ride came in last week for a revamp. Love them Monsta Teees!

New School:
Our UK distributor's new SR6, black aurora sparkle. Satin red parts.

After School:
Ken welds up the head tube freehand on a 24' x 24"wheel cruiser (for halloween), while a blogger from Japan watches.

You can watch the video here
Or you can catch the rest of the rundown by clicking any of the pics.

Also, here's some customer pics of canada's newest racelinks, fresh out of thier massive UPS boxes:

We have lots of raw Diablo and Whistler footage to chop up in Adobe if thing ever slow down here. We'll post up miniclips once they format.

Doh! Sorry. Here's a handfull.

This is the latest SR6 that left the shop. We're using vacuum molded carbon fiber on some of these.

The're turing out really well.
We're revamping the entire 08 lineup so things have been mad busy in the shop.

what made you change the swing arm to Box stays? from the mini link design?

isn't the bike still 4130, whats the frame weight? as it sits in the pic?

edit, also whats the point of the chain wheel on the pivot? without the left side drive, you're still going to get chain growth with just the English bb there.

a concentric idler will perform identically to a jackshaft, but has the potential to be lighter (less chain, one less cog, no through shaft, etc) as well as the ability to use conventional (non lhd) cranks.

how will it perform identically? They both eliminate pedal feedback, but the concentric idler still doesn't prevent chain growth (although it does lessen it when compared to not having the idler).

XY9ine didn't say he was referring to the Racelink compared to the Slope Ranger,he was just stating some facts.
To ad to this,if the output sprocket on the jackshaft and the idler were the same size and in the same position in relation to the pivot, they would have the same effect on the suspension and pedal feedback.
