which is it? you bugged the superco office or you're psychic?that's such a badass bike, seismic. just love how compact that frame is. it'd be such a monster with modern dh geo. any idea what the frame / build weighs?
pseudo-psychic. spill the goods, girl! what's the latest at superco skunkworks?which is it? you bugged the superco office or you're psychic?
No, I didnt read it, so please throw a link.which is it? you bugged the superco office or you're psychic?

Thanks !! It was interesting to read
thanks for the link, that was an interesting read
I'm with ya... I'm already saving for the downpayment!"the beans are in their preliminary soaking stage so it's too soon to spill 'em."
that's the perfect amount of time for me to start saving my pennies. cant wait to have a superco!
Yes, you of all should know :biggrin:I wonder who the " two longtime supporters are"?

That is a pitty...it should see some dirt.so hot! love the old skinny-tubed rl's. especially sweet with the ti coil & floater. can i have it?
random: i saw a guy in full commuter mode ride down my street the other day on a yellow rl. i've yet to see or hear of any brooklyns in vancouver, and this guy just rides by my house as i'm sitting in the living room. i almost ran out the door after him. trippy. also tragic in that it doesn't look like it ever sees dirt.
Its pretty close. No white roof though.Voodoo Blue?
toby
yes and no...it has a custom BB that uses eccentric cups with pressed-in profile bearings...I'm not sure whether or not the size of those eccentrics is standard to anything or not. It's not just a press-in BMX style setup. You guys are gonna laugh at me, but I never noticed that the RL has a BMX BB. Your new paint job looks great
actually its a large bb shell for an eccentric bb. this is how you keep tension on the non-drive side chain (going from the cranks to the jackshaft spindle). its euro sized bmx 3 piece cranks. You could run regular mtb bb on it (i think) the only problem is that I haven't seen standard mtb cranks that are LSD compatible. that's LSD "left side drive", not the hippy drug. You guys are gonna laugh at me, but I never noticed that the RL has a BMX BB. I'm with you on that one! Looking forward to see what Chris got in the works!I'm with ya... I'm already saving for the downpayment!
ah, makes sense...it would suck to have to run a tensioner on the LSDactually its a large bb shell for an eccentric bb. this is how you keep tension on the non-drive side chain (going from the cranks to the jackshaft spindle). its euro sized bmx 3 piece cranks. You could run regular mtb bb on it (i think) the only problem is that I haven't seen standard mtb cranks that are LSD compatible. that's LSD "left side drive", not the hippy drug.
edit: sandwich beat me to it!
yup, i run the eccentric cups in my park to push the spindle further to the rear..shortening the c/s lengththe RL bb is a bmx bb, american standard. but the width is different.
but for other frames with the american bb, you could run that eccentric if you wanted too. say, the old part bike.
have you had problems with durability on the eccentric cups? I know a few people who were interested in doing this, but weren't sure whether or not it could handle the abuse. And this is on more than just bmw frames...yup, i run the eccentric cups in my park to push the spindle further to the rear..shortening the c/s length
Fixed.Yes, totally problem free....I think the way Doc has made the box is rather bomb proof....not had a single problem yet.
I don't think Doc was even born when boxes were invented!!So, Doc was not part of BMW when the box was invented?
