The front brake is just a standard IS 210mm disk setup.cool, thanks. also, what adapter did you need for the maguras on the Avy fork? i think I'm going to go the magura route and I would need a front adapter.
Why?It is amazing that this thread is still alive.

Maxxis 2,35" fits the short dropouts. I've used it myself. Tried Minions, HR and Swampthings.I don't know who joe is, but nice looking ride.
Does anybody know a good tire that will fit with the short-chainstay dropouts? I tried an old tioga 2.3, it didn't fit but I don't know if there's something funky with it. I'd love to be able to ride with the short adapters instead of long.
if that is your racelink. you should kick out your b-screw a bit. your rear der will shift a bit better with that 34 cassettewhat happened to your RL? Besides the DHR is a Killer as well!!!
It's collecting dust. The DHR rocks! Thanks.what happened to your RL? Besides the DHR is a Killer as well!!!
Hmmmm, your RL will probably live long after your DHR has been recycled into a pair of alu cans. It's collecting dust. The DHR rocks! Thanks.
Thanks for the reply and insight. How tall are you?w00dy has one. I've ridden it around, and can attest to the fact that it's like a BMX bred with a mountain bike. You could probably get away with a trail ride, but the top tube is short, and it's just not set up for long rides in the woods...when compared to a real trail bike.
I think he would disagree though, as he's ridden that thing across the US almost literally. I know the top tube would be too short for me, but he grew up with BMXs and I'm pretty sure he loves it, and he's the same size.
Sounds great. It could be awesome to own a Mini Link, but they are kind of hard to get by as used for the time being.5'11". I've always felt cramped on my RL, but got used to it after a while and put up with it for the quality of the bike/suspension. He's about the same height, maybe taller.
The bike rides a lot like an RL, but with the shorter travel it's much peppier and springier. It feels more nimble and with that more skittish at high speed. Hopefully he'll chime in with some insight of his own, as I have less than extensive experience on the bike.
see if you can get a test ride on a sr6.Sounds great. It could be awesome to own a Mini Link, but they are kind of hard to get by as used for the time being.
Hmmm, I have to admit that I actually do not like the sr6. I like the older BMWs much more.see if you can get a test ride on a sr6.
You are spot on, but the question will of course be: When will Doc make one? Even though the Mini is old, I still consider it quite interesting. The mini is a great bike, well ahead of it's time. But it is old. A year older than the RL and will be blown off the trail by it's own creator when Doc gets to the next bike on the to-do list.
Hey Seismic, Shortbus used to trail ride his mini. If I remember correctly it was his main use for the bike. I bet there are a few write-ups about it in this monsterous thread.
