Kinda funny, huh. Oggy's hardcore. 2nd in UK 4X this year and denied a trip to the Worlds on the UK team. I fink ;) it's because British Cycling doesn't like that Ogs tells it like it is with an extra dose of grizzle for them to chew on.
Meh, extreme riding is not understood here. Even those who are high positions are dodgy. Very annoying.

Don't know what they are doing.

Hehe, he was questioning that desicion on SDH a while back.. Discussion of it might still be in progress but i havent been checking back.. He didn't seem best pleased about it by any shot.

Dead cool with you being up on his site t, just a genuinely nice person aintcha ;) (lots of stamps, ahem.)

Mike - Seems we both want soemthing the other person has, a meet at delamere sounds good. Edd vowed not to go there in, apprently, 9 months. Not sure why he was so specific, but we got there on our racelinks, and realised there just overkill for absolutely everything there! So as a result we got kinda bored and made some jump, actually, theres a pic of me doing it somewhere in this thread..

Yeh, i know what you mean, when youve got wharncliffe on your doorstep, a 9" travel dh rig is a bit overkill for delamere, even when i was on the PDC. Id go somewhere else, but daz (on the norco) keeps bangin on about the dirt jumps, and we usually go in his car :( Either way it should be funny tryin to get the tmx through the big set, ill have arms like popeye by the time ive finished!

Horrendous hack, Ged is supposed to be a sound guy, if you were intending to buy a racelink off of him he usually lets them go cheaper than that, i heard of someone who ged said that he could have one for 2800 as the exchange was good. Still way more than what the US pay, but he aint rippin you off. I doubt that he pays much less than what the retail is in the USA, and when you add 17.5% VAT and then the 5% import tax, he doesnt make much money, thats why it isnt his full time job.

Weve just got to face the fact that we live in a rip off nation. Rant over!!!

Arms like popeye? Bah, those trails at delamere require absolutely no effort last time i was down. Usually easier on a full bounce too, kinda controls your speed. Doing them on shauns identity i was having to brake between them to not overshoot, on any other full sus you jusy kinda glide through em....

Whats wharncliff like? Me and edd are trying to get about to some more uk downhill courses, not just the bigger ones, bringewood, etc.

Might have to hook up there too if were ever trippin' down.

Wharncliffe rules mate, theres a good mix of courses, if you want to find the better ones you could do with a guide though as they are a bit tricky to find.
Speakin of wharncliffe, had me first outing on the TMX there today, first run....................... I snapped the XTR derailler in half, makin me give up on gears completely as im sick of doin this, so she is now singlespeed! From the little time i had on it, it rocked, i cant wait to ride her more tomorrow! :thumb:

Jesus christ mate! Didn't think most of that you'de actually be able to pull off!

Looking at that though, it certainly reminds me of a certain bike... can't remeber which one though ;)

Like the product of a Balfa and a Racelink after a night on the town and a few too many beers.

Does anyone know where people have been getting ti brake arms and bits from for racelinks? The tmx is now built up and weighs a shade over 50lbs without even trying to savve weight, im pretty pleased with it. just wondering where i can get a ti floating arm from or will i have to get it custom made?

thanks

brooklyn has produced a few ti brake arms in the past, you could call them & see if they'd build one for you. another good bet would to call up brake therapy - i looked into getting a custom arm myself. they can do one in aluminum (most likely lighter & cheaper than ti), or super trick, super light carbon fiber. the stock rod isnt *that* heavy, though, so i opted to hold off for now. a ti profile bb spindle saves a nice chunk of weight, though...

Final round of the Danish DH Cup went down this weekend, and my pal Christian was there with his racelink. Give him some props. That chocolate brown is delicious...

Not my pictures by the way. I was filming.

His run went pretty well I think. I quite fast through the rocks. I tried his bike and I realized I need a Racelink. Not because I need to ride DH, but because I just need one.

DH’ing in Denmark is a tricky affair. Basically no hills. Lots of digging is needed, however we have an incredible riding scene. Lots of FUN!

The longest runs are around 40 sec – 1 min.

Haha I share the same feeling...Seems like there are quite a few brooklyns in scandinavia compared to the size of the scene. a few here in Finland as well...bmw's suit well in arctic conditions! or we're just stinking rich
 :)

Scandinavians are crazy about quality.

I don't know bout Finland, Sweden and Norway, but here in Denmark there are 3 racelinks, 1 parkbike, one mini link (mine) and one streetsweeper (mine).

Do you have any "statistics" on Finland?

I'm down for a gathering (though we're all so bizarro it might seem more like a Star Trek convention.) Central UK sounds okay....but Whistler sounds better.

But but but! Whistler will cost me thousands of milliosn of... okay, like £1000, but humpf! Wasn't there a big brooklyn meet in central birmingham at 202426 once? Heard something like that anyway....

Oh yeah t, just read that littermag, my god im in tears! So funny this stuff.

"More extreme than the x-gaymes. First ever 900 mcflindle whip-spin on film! 5 year old wonder sprocker jimmy quebec hucks a 68 footer to flat... his z1 breaks tho' "

Absolutely quality. :D

Okay, we'll all head over to the Global Gravity Mecca, aka: Manchester UK. Eh-hem. How about we start up an Adrian-to-Whistler fund? Get it all squared away by next summer.

Litter fun, glad you like it (and got the jokes!). Got a season re-cap issue coming shortly. Should be off the hook jam packed with Spomerities and Gordo Goodness. Unfortunately it will only be available online cuz we're lazy about selling ads and to poor to pay for it ourselves.

I wonder what happened to Knucks??

edit: Sammie looks good to me Joel.

Adrian-to-Whistler fund eh? Damn that's a great idea, come on then folks, chop chop!

Pity about litter being all online, easy to get too, but i love having this handy little magazine. The content is far better than the likes of dirt and mbuk too. I much prefer to read about bikes and it to make me laugh than get bogged down too much in serious racing. Covered the serious stuff, in a light way, proper bo i tell thee!

Maybe knucks is off doing some manual labor to earn that final $200 for his mini-link? Better yet, maybe he's got it and hes either drooling or riding or something mini worship related.

So what's the lead time on a new Race Link these days anyway? Anyone know?
I've been thinking of putting my FTW up for sale to move into something different. lol, might have to sell a few other items (like everything) to swing one of these.

You guys and your pics are gonna cost me a grip of cash! But I think you know that already.

YO YO YO, WHADAYA KNOW?

Minilink will be arriving at my door late September. I have some wheels, hadley hubs on sun rynolite XL welded rims. Got some arrow 2.7's some wingbars, atomlab stem. Truvativ holzfu*ka pedals, SRAM x.9 der and shifta. Intense lock on grips. Don't know if I have a seat tube that will fit, I haven't looked at the spec for the size yet. I'll basically have everything but the brakes which will be Hope Mono4's

Mmmmm Brooklyn.

I'm up for a meet somewhere, sure I may not have a BMW but thats has nothing to do with it... lol

Nice Chocolate RL looks. . . brown, but fast. I think this thread alone has doubled BMWs sales this year.

MarcusMotocross, though we've had exchanges about meeting at Whistler next summer, the idea came to me from the gods. They've been sending me signs for the last several seasons that a pilgrammage to the holy land is in order.

Knuck, sounds like an awesome build. You'll love those Rhyno Lites, incidentally (I know you had a lot of back-and-forth with your wheel choices) - they're probably the strongest rim you can buy for the weight, and they're inexpensive to boot.

Can't wait to see pictures
