That FQ is effin' sweet! I'm starting a saving fund for a FQ to go alongside my TMX.
I find I ride my Evil HT more than the Brookie, due to the lack of big hills around London. However I miss having a short travel rig ( I cracked the rear of my Tazer- has been rewelded and donated to the missus ), and the mini link fits the bill. Something that can cover all the bases, the TMX can await big hills and trips to the Alps, etc.

That will be mines in 2 weeks, getting from a friend of mine who doesn't have time to ride that baby, so i will be a proud owner of the frame kit. I don't know why he instructed doc to not put the frame stoppers on it. I believe the main frame is a #9 and the swingarm is #10. Does anybody know if i can put an 8" hayes rotor and will a regualr intl standard adapter for the 8" from hayes work.

I can't wait to get this bike built

frame stoppers as in fork guards? Mini don't have em cause they're intended for single crown forks, but you can always run a 6" (mebbe even 7") DTC on em. Make sure you got padding on the stanctions to keep em away from that cromo. :D

Happy minilinking and welcome to the club :D

The Marzo 66 170mm. will be way to long for the mini. Not that the frame can take it, but the geometry will be sooo layed back. The 66 170mm. is 10mm. shorter, (axel to crown), than a 888 200mm. (And that's a long fork).

I'we ridden the 66's and they rule. Superstiff sideways, and relativly stiff back and forth. As plush as it gets, and pretty easy to stiffen up, with the airassist.
I'm gonna put one on my fr rl, when I get it. Weee :D

Try the 5" for startes. Remeber - this bike is SMALL.
Thats a point; Why are all Brooklyns only available in 1 size and only small at that? Do they not think tall people will ride their bikes?

Because a bike like the FQ is meant to have the same feel as a rather large full sus BMX bike, which it has, and it can be thrown around easier.

Cuz they selfishly make bikes to suit their own needs.

There are quite a few tall guys with Brooklyn's and seem to ride them without sizing issues. Sikocycles is 8 feet 13 inches and he rides all 18 of his Brooklyns. (Okay, little exaggerated, but the guy is a giant and has nearly as many Bklyns as the fellas who make them.) The sizing has something to do with the virtual TT and changing saddle height. (Someone help us out with how that works, please.)

That's not the case across the board with all their bikes, but the race link and the old TMX for sure. How tall are you Hitman? Good screenname by the way. Are you from the UK?

I am 6'5" tall and the race link is not small and neither is the biglink. It all depends how you like to ride. I have a 70mm thompson on the racelink it is is sweet. You shouldn't have a problem

I have a Avy dhf8 on it right now but that fox or new boxxer looks very nice. When I broke my foot and the guy at MT Creek was loading my brooklyn into the truck he was very surprised how light it was, He could not believe it. I guess the helium in the tires worked

Doh! Dunno since I get some of my tall-guy info from Sik. Maybe I have selective hearing. ;) We'll see how tall he chimes in to be and just how cramped he might be feeling on that bike and hopefully get you a solid answer.

Hey Tony W, how tall are you...and were you cramped on your RL?

edit: late on the draw...
