is the drive side cog on the tmx the same tooth count as on the rl? oh and also does brooklyn have these in stock most of the time?
I was originally thinking of getting white front and black rear, but now i think i might get all black with red stickers and gold rims. :evil:dropthebreak said:hey nick what color main frame are you getting?
That color scheme is down right satanic !! just kidding. It would be sick !nickaziz said:I was originally thinking of getting white front and black rear, but now i think i might get all black with red stickers and gold rims.
the stachions will have to be hardcoat anodized. the rest of the stuff just regular ano. make sure that your anodizer is use to doing suspension stuff. they need to mic the stanchions before they strip off all the stock ano so that when they re-ano it, they can get the stock thickness. otherwise your new black stanchions will be too thick or too thin. either way, your seals wont work right unless they get it right. On a tired 02, your better off just keeping the stanchions stock and getting the lowers and crowns done.rockymt21 said:Joel,I picked up a 2002 Monster T for $250. I cam going to have it all ano'ed black. Where should I go to do this? Locally? How much does it usually cost? I was thinking of doing other parts like bolts and **** and my hope levers. Will I be able to do all of this in one
batch?Dan

you should have bought mine. you arent saving any money by doing the same thing with an 02. i would put that much time and $$ into an o2 model fork.rockymt21 said:Bummer. I will probably be sending the fork over to Cali over the winter... Anyone know if the 04 monster decals will fit on the 02 lowers?
Well, while I agree that's a lot of money, you have to consider that it's very expensive for companies to stock and supply these small parts like bolts, decals, etc.Shortbus said:60$ for decals. How Marzocchi...
Iono, while I do see your point, 60$ for a set of decals still looks outrageous from my point of vue as a consumer. Don't get me wrong, I am a firm believer in the "you get what you pay for" stuff, but with things where it matters like a frame or a tire or some piece of electronic (hmm, MAYBE on electronics). But, again from my point of vue, there isnt much that can be done to a decal that would make it worth 60 of my own dollars. Unless its delivered by hot twin chicas in bikinis like brooklyn frames are.binary visions said:Well, while I agree that's a lot of money, you have to consider that it's very expensive for companies to stock and supply these small parts like bolts, decals, etc.
There's inventory management of small parts (which is a huge pain), they have to estimate how many extras they will need vs. how many they just need to put on their forks, there are labor costs to go pull one of those stickers from inventory and ship it...
Depending on how their business is set up, they may even need new SKUs in order to sell the stickers (for instance, we might have a part number for a syringe that goes into a kit, and a totally different part number for the exact same syringe to sell it by itself - that has to do with costing and packaging and such).
Just stuff to keep in mind - I'm sure Marz is not profiting from those sticker kits.
I agree. From the perspective of what you as a consumer receive vs. what you pay, I think it's too expensive.Shortbus said:60$ for a set of decals still looks outrageous from my point of vue as a consumer.
you sound like a printer. lol-=JB=- said:nope..... Black nor white are colours
Black are all colours and white are no colours
You might want to pull out an old copy of "Dark Side of the Moon" and look at the cover and think about it for a bit. Be sure to look at the front cover as the back cover is wrong (backwards).-=JB=- said:nope..... Black nor white are colours

What rear hub is the one to get for a RL? Will any hub with a 12mm axel work? Or do they require some special deal for the floating brake?
it's a dusty focker! just gloss black.-=JB=- said:Joel: Is it dust or did you get your RL painted metallic black?
