go ride has race links listed for 105 bucks less then what's on the Brooklyn site. Just thought that was kinda odd.
I would call go-ride up, but all I know is they had that one black RL about a yr ago for a while that took em a bit of time to sell, and Chris (Krispy) had mentioned that those are bikes they would special order usually rather than keep in stock, so I highly doubt they have em in stock. But I would still check.

Right, so i'm seriously thinking about getting rid of my m1 and sc chameleon to buy a mini link. Because on average I ride about 4 weekends of downhill a year (closest proper dh course is a 5 hour drive if I push it). I LOVE my m1 but I ride it way to little and ride my sc a lot more.
Now I could just sell the m1 and put the money in to my bank account, but i'll just wind up spending it on stuff I don't really want (videogames etc...) + I still want to ride downhill (even if it is only 4 weekends a year). So I could just keep both bikes.

This is why I would want a mini:
1. I like the idea of owning 1 do it all bike.
2. takes up less space, then 2 bikes.
3. I want a short travel bike.
4. I really really really like bmw's
5. Some courses which are closer to home don't require a full-on dh bike/ aren't a lot of fun on a full-on dh bike, but are too ruff for a ht.
6. I could ride it up a hill and do some freeriding (pedaling a'n m1 up a hill isn't a lot of fun)

Now the questions:
1. Does it have brakejack? I noticed the rl has a floater and the mini doesn't. If so, how bad is it. (People who said the old v10 without a floater did not suffer from brakejack please do not answer this question).
2. Will it be a capable DH bike bike? (planning on using a 150mm marzocchi something up front).
3. How does it perform on a 4x course (please take into account that I'm slow as **** and ride purely for fun) since this is the only gravity assisted riding relativly close to my home.
4. Most importantly will I miss either my m1 or sc?

1. Haven't had any problems with braking

2. Yes.

3. It is great, but not as fast on bmx type course. You need a hardtail for that.

4. No.

But that's just my subjective oppinion.

You have an INtense M1 ? Will you miss it ? Well, - I do not own a Mini, but if you like DH racing I think the M1 will be quite a lot faster than a Mini Link !!! If you are more to a do-it-all-bike, - I think the mini looks fine. Not a big huck bike though...I do not think the mini would like a very big fork...but I have not tried !

Personally, - I would not get rid of the M1 if I had one :)

Looks like a great trail bike. What's the story on that frame?

Chris
If I remember correctly, and that's trusting my rusty memory, that was a lighter TMX kinda prototype where they adventured with using lighter steel tubing. And If I remember correctly the lighter steel/different compound tubing didn't like flying and landing too much....

That was shown in Dirt ages ago and it was called a Park Ranger. I can scan the article if required.

here we go boys and gouls.

Check out the MRP chainguide with the non included installation tools: hacksaw, sandpaper, blood, blisters and a LOT of free time.

The MRP cranks are a nightmare to install, but seem pretty cool so far.

PS before anyone stabs me in the ears, the barend stubs are SOOO coming off for brooklyn end caps. No worries. :D
