Jimmy_Pop said:The alternative is having anywhere from 2-10 bmw threads going at any one time like the mind numbing Avy Cult* members do. That would really wear out our welcome and do more harm than good. Allowing us to keep ourselves self-contained is tops. I think this thread has become accepted as a part of the RM DH landscape. We ain't harmin' anybudy.

Lol, wouldnt touch it!DH biker said:Yep, time to start an Avy Cult official thread.

are you bloody serious?seismic said:Some questions for the BMW people....
I think the head angel is kind of steep.
Jimmy_Pop said:i can smell a steep HT angel a mile away and i've never gotten such a whiff from a RL. I've felt that the RL is low, slack and moto compared to other DH frames. maybe that's cause i use riser bars and a short 30mm stem.

you have a Karpiel Army. i used too for a bit there, and ran the same fork on it as my RL, the Army is way steeper then the bmw.
you need to check that again..
sikocycles said:The HM is steeper. TT is like 1/8" longer. The Headtube is 5" instead of the Rl 4.5". The chainstays will hold a 2.5 in the shortest setting. The RL is like a 2.3 in the shortest setting. And its real close

you're talking pretty much about the same thing. the hitman is the refined version of the biglink.seismic said:......furthermore, as far as I understand the Hitman is built for drops adn freeride.....at least a more drop friendly version of the Race Link ?? So, I was thinking how the Big Link and the Hitman compare when talking hard core dropping ?? Is the Hitman a worthy replacement for the BIg Link or will the Big Link still stand alone as "the drop bike" ??? Just some thoughts.....

the big link was just more of a tmx with linkage
