it is the correct number. ask for doc, don't waste your time and dime speaking with anyone else there because no one knows these bikes and the options like he does. email is good too, but you must still indicate that your inquires are directed towared doc if you want sound technical information.no skid marks said:...Is the Brooklyn number on thier website correct?
yeah, i pondered that as well. there's definately a wide range of opinions on the floater vs non floater debate ie: http://www.ridemonkey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141091&highlight=floaterShortbus said:I kinda also always wondered if the RLs can be swapped to run a fixed caliper mount, without the floating brake...
I was going to send mine in or call him with the size needed but never did. Not his fault ...xy9ine said:i assume buildyourown never got around to building those ti brake arms. brake therapy builds trick carbon (or aluminum) arms though.
i have a warrenty on my frame?tmx said:fyi, if you buy a new frame it will void the warranty if you use another brake arm.
haha... guilty as charged. though they're not cost effective by any means, i've had really good success with ti spokes on a dh bike. they're stupidly light (and look cool - i've got tie-dye), and i've never had one break. i've actually got a front wheel with ti spokes that are 5 years old (though its been through a couple rims) - they refuse to die, and i don't have the heart to toss them out.DHS said:and using Ti spokes no matter how little you weigh for a DH bike, is just plain stupid.
sorry.

yeah, looks like dt ti spokes are gone. they only came in silver, though - whats the point of paying $3 a spoke if they dont look cool? those purdy ones are made by marwi.Sverre said:Those Ti spokes are so cool. Don't think DT makes Ti spokes anymore..?
If I have callculated right, hopefully my RL will be 42lbs when it's done in a few weeks. I'm not using Ti bolts, too excpensive, and too week imo. It's a light but still strong build.
I'll have the ti dye spokes here tomorrow for my hitman wheelset.xy9ine said:haha... guilty as charged. though they're not cost effective by any means, i've had really good success with ti spokes on a dh bike. they're stupidly light (and look cool - i've got tie-dye), and i've never had one break. i've actually got a front wheel with ti spokes that are 5 years old (though its been through a couple rims) - they refuse to die, and i don't have the heart to toss them out.
