They are freakishly light. I don't know if you could really get it any lighter by going carbon.
I used 5/8" dia x .049 wall tube. It's what I had laying around. If I was going to order material specifically for this job, I would probably go with 3/4" dia
Would you make one for my v10?

Please!

the v10 aluminum brake rods are actually pretty light. the floater on the v10 isnt really *that* beneficial, anyways - if you want to save some weight (something like half a pound), i'd take the thing off altogether. you can order non-floater dropouts direct from santa cruz.

Yup! I'm interested!
485mm. / 19,1" length, M8 end treads.

How much??

I put the originak RL rod on an accurat scale, rod only, and it landed on 143g / 5,04oz. Hace you weighed the Ti rod?

The Brake Therapy carbon-thingy looks bling. :)

did i say germans are better?

we have the "wackiest" grammar and lots of really stupid difficult constructions in our language.
+ an obsession with stupid big nouns which are created of multiple nouns...

Haha yeah, that would be stupid. You right Joel.

Seriously though, I live in southern Denmark and I love Germans! Great cars, great beer (great big beer bellies as well). Go Germany!

A big freekin THANK YOU to Doc and they guys at brooklyn machine works for buiding me a killer bike. this thing pedals very light and does not bob and it is accomplished without used the harsh "stable platform" shocks. so this rig is plush and stable, you feel the bike dart forward with each pedal stroke - all the power is transferred to the rear wheel. I am amazed and cant wait for summer.

sorry for the bad quality of the pics and the shadows but i only had a few minutes at lunch. ive been riding my bike to work this week and these pics were taken across the way from work on the way to the taco stand. here is what i got so far. still waiting on the new rims so this is with a temporary rear wheel and my brothers front wheel of his bike. still missing the front brake adapter but it is on the way this week.

enjoy cause i am.

Well, it looks like there is some interest in Ti floater linkage arms.
I'll set the price at $75. I'll have to check and see exactly how much the tubing will cost. Anybody still interested, PM me and I will get back to you.
And these are way lighter than anything made out of aluminum.

*edit*
I just checked and Ti tubing is running about $20-$21 a foot.

Wow !! The bike looks great bro. The custon ano'd smallparts makes the thing look soooo sweet. Gonna be totaly awesome when you add the bling wheels aswell. Keep it up.

Lookin' at it makes me wanna get an Ava fork. (For my kinda riding I'm a bit conserned about the offset-crowns though...).

Can't wait to get back from christmas holiday, to start building mine  )

Colours are important if you're gonna ride fast, isn't it ?? To be fast, you gotta look fast! So I've heard.

This cold wet white stuff, does that I can't ride my bike for another three months or so. Why not use the indoor season to play with colours and stuff..? BTW, thanks for the invention of indoor-parks :thumb:
