Lol, I just went out try and find something to eat in Salento. (Super-duper charming, clean city in the cloud forest coffee lands).
The only thing I could find was booze, fried chicken, or maybe a little weed.
Amazing little town, I haven’t heard or even spoken a single word of English in three days. (Except to kiddo, but he speaks Spanish too)
It is exactly what I was hoping for.

Sounds authentic, and snowboard related.

But the snow line is supposed to come down this afternoon and start snowing again for a few days. I took next week off to ride.

I will not tolerate any of these French speaking shenanigans.

Finally after over a year, I got out there for some spring skiing with family friends. My son loved his first time on a snowboard… and wants to go again tomorrow. Couldn’t have asked for a better day. 3C, no wind, bright blue sky. I was rusty as all get out, complete with a fall on the bunny hill to start the day! Granted this gear is worlds apart from 25 years ago! The board felt best with some speed, and once I had a few runs under my belt, it was very easy to get along with. I couldn’t believe how I could ride the base at speed with no fear of catching an edge… is that me or the board? I need to adjust my stance a bit, but I was impressed!
