I don't get it. You self shuttle yourself and ski gear up a road to the top of a ski piste? Then what? I suppose the plan is to put on your skis and leave the bike there while you ski down all that lovely fresh pow? Then what? unless at the bottom there just happens to be a shed full of free Scott SK-eRIDE's you're fucked surely?

I think the idea is to get you to a place where you start skinning up. In reality, though, it doesn't seem like it'd work that great. Something much more light and compact that one could haul up while skinning and then strap to one's back? Sure.
Yeah, get as high up into the mountain via road / trails as you can with the e-bike then lock it / hide it and skin up from where you leave it is how this works. Ski back to the bike and ride down. The e-bike as as ski-hauler is 100% a working concept, though here it's usually used to get from home to the base of the lift.

I helped my colleagues make that bike for a Euro Outdoor show. Lots of them don’t have cars and go ski touring before or after work with headlamps. I know of 5 people with setups like this but without the motor. The idea was to be able to go farther but keep your energy for the skinning up and run back down. There are so many small ski resorts around here that it almost makes sense for some people. As a snowboarder and downhiller I wouldn’t use it myself but I did have fun helping them realize their vision. I did some sewing on the battery blanket, ice axe holster & boot covers. I had a friend make the metal parts and some of the parts were prototyped out of stuff I had laying around like tent legs from an easy-up. I even snuck in a little logo from our snowboard crew onto the battery blanket.

As someone who both snowboards and skis, there are multiple solutions for carrying my skis on a bike but very few if any that currently work for a snowboard and I would definitely use one if it did exist. Get that idea into the head of the friend of yours who helped you with the metal fabrication side of things if you wouldn't mind and then we'll both be set!
Jeremie Heitz is an animal and some of the riding in La Liste is just flat out the gnarliest shit I can imagine.
