Boston has some serious issues. Lately officials keep blowing things out of proportion, assuming the city is littered with bombs.

A suspicious device was blown up downtown Wednesday, shutting down parts of the Financial District. But what brought morning commuters to a standstill wasn't an explosive, and may not be dangerous at all.

The "device" turned out to be a traffic counter put out by the transportation division.

Congrats, Boston Bomb Squad! Especially for the numerous videos chronicling your dumb efforts.

Now, it's understandable you want to protect your citizens, but you clearly haven't learned from your mistakes.

Maybe we should designate the last day of every month this year as "Boston thinks something's a bomb day"! Who wants to place their bets on what March's device really is?

This cracks me up. I was talking with my buddies step father about the other bomb scare, and he thought Boston had done all the right things because we needed to be vigilant.

I made the comment that all someone had to do to cause major chaos is claim a bomb in a traffic light (big box with lights and wires hung in public places).

I thought I was being absurd...
