NEMBA Announces Finalists for
2004 Boston Mountain Bike Video Awards Competition
Winners to be selected at April 24 benefit event
presented by JRA Cycles and Rocky Mountain Bicycles
April 7, 2004 Acton, MA The New England Mountain Bike Association (NEMBA) today announced twelve finalists for its annual amateur filmmaking event, the Boston Mountain Bike Video Awards. The winners will be selected at the award ceremony on April 24, presented by JRA Cycles of Medford, MA and Rocky Mountain Bicycles of Vancouver, BC. The event will feature special guest Wade Simmons, professional mountain biker from British Columbia; Redbones Barbecue; "mountain bike bingo" with prizes from the sponsors; highlights from last year's finalists; and a screening of the best local amateur cycling films of the year. Last year the event sold out early and advanced ticket purchase will be required. All proceeds will benefit NEMBA.

Lucas Brunelle: Ice Ice
Paul Girard: Resume
Tom Guilmette: Mountain Biking Mount Major
Mark Halliday: Bicycle Rendezvous
Ben Haulenbeek: Ground Rush preview, parts I and II
Jim Ionnidis: Mount Snow 2003
Jim Ionnidis: From Dawn Till Dusk
Jon Kibler: Winter BOMB
Justin Schroth: "1 2 3 4"
Sean Sullivan: Lord of the Chainrings
Jeff Udell: Ride Like a Girl
Winners will be selected at the Boston Mountain Bike Video Awards event by the judges for the categories "Best Production," "Most Entertaining," and "Best Riding," and a people's choice award will also be chosen.
DATE: Saturday April 24, 2004
TIME: 7PM, doors open at 6PM
WHERE: American Legion Club 44, 295 California Avenue in Newton MA
COST: $30 per ticket, must be purchased in advance
