Old square tapered ones. Any reason to pay $25 for a UN-54 vs $14.00 for the UN-26?

If they are anything similar to their forefathers, the UN-54 would be and XT level BB with much better bearings and longer lifespan than the UN-26 (SIS/Altus level?). If you have a chance to hold each in your hand side by side, you can tell the difference simply by spinning the spindle. Get the UN-54.

That's what I figured, but the shop guy I talked to on the phone said the only difference would be weight. I'll get the UN-54.
