so Thursday i forked over the money and bought the 2005 Kona Coiler. seeing as I'm a non working 18 year old that was a crap load of money for me. taking it in for a maiden ride tomorrow in auburn. gotta post pics though before that beautiful blue color is covered with mud.

sweet rig. welcom to ridemonkey. i know a guy who has one and he loves it. he just upgraded his fork to a z1. good choice in pedals too. i love my A frames

thanks. i was planning on getting the Kona Jack ****s but as i was wwalking in the guy who bought them walked out. so i decided not to save the $30 on pedals. I'm upgrading from a 1996 GT LTS-3 so this bike almost makes me crap my pants. it doesn't bottom out when i lean forward!!!

Very nice, I love the plastic chain guard behind the rear cassette. Very new age!
I like the bike and yes welcome to RM, good choice on bikes.

haha well the plastic "guard" came off today and i wrapped that rear bar with an old tire tube to keep the chain from grinding on it. those pics were taken about 15 minutes after i paid for it and borught it home. i had been lurking around on RM before but never felt right posting seeing as i didn't have much of a ride, but i do act like a monkey. the worst part about that color is that after one ride it'll never be as nice, but that isn't too bad.

oh oops, i linked to the original pics, not resized. well rode it today up in auburn, amazing ride compared to old bike, but now i've got mad rashes on my face and arms, might be poison oak as thats common there but it came out sooner then normal.
