So the CEO made a bet with me regarding how much money I could collect in 2 weeks. If I met or exceeded the amount he would buy me a bottle of bourbon, my choice (within reason). If I did not meet the amount he would fire me (running joke).

As I collected more than double he owes me a bottle although he now accuses me od sandbagging. I figure that this is a good opportunity to try something new, so I turn to you monkeys for suggestions

I've tried quite a few different bourbons and at the end of the day I think Jim Beam is still my favorite.

The Pappy van Winkles 20 yr is what I would pick but kind of steep so may not fall into the "within reason" stipulation.

I would go with either Bookers or Woodford if the Pappys gets shot down ( although they do have "younger" Pappy van Winkles that are alot more resonably priced)

Wild Turkey Rare Breed.

Within reason, good with one ice cube, and it will get you loaded.

Bulleit is super good for something not so expensive.

I don't have a lot of experience with super premium bourbons, but Black Maple Hill is damn good. I've had both the small-batch (around $40/bottle) which is tasty, as well as the 21 year old (around $125/bottle, I think). The 21-year old is friggin killer and would be a proper pay out on the bet, but I guess it depends on what "within reason" means.

Both good bourbons that should fall in your price range.

And both distilled at the same location. The Blantons is bottled by hand. :)

If no handlebars are included, something has gone wrong.

edit: Now that I live in the land of cheap booze, I need to try Bulleit at the behest of stevew.

So here I am sitting at my desk staring at a bottle of Woodford Reserve

I wish I could open it now, but alas I have to wait until I get home :(

edit: Unless I drink it on the bus home

I vote you drink it just before you get on the bus.
It should make the ride home more fun
