My 2010 Boxxer team is making an odd knocking sound with I shake the fork up and down (not side to side). Their isnt any movement in the fork at the top of the travel that would suggest the spring is moving or a lack of spacers and the fork is still performing wonderfully so I wouldn't know if there was a damper issue or anything. Before I take it apart I'd like to have a rough idea of where I should be looking. Is it possible the drop-stop is just moving a little bit inside the spring side? Any solutions?

Seems like lots of probs on the 2010's. Don't own one but hopefully you can get it resolved. Here's some info from another thread that might be able to help.

All these problems with the 2010's is making me appreciate my 2009 team even more. Sure it's not as stiff, stanchions are narrower, and it's a few grams heavier, but it's been reliable since installation in late 2008.
I'm gonna wait another 2-3 years before they work the kinks out of the first production run before I upgrade.
