Hey guys,
Just bought myself a set of 2010 Boxxer Teams and I have now noticed they are making a strange noise. When the fork is shaken 'up and down' there is a knocking sound of something moving up and down inside, but nothing side to side. At first I thought it might be the spring, but there is no initial free movement in the travel that would suggest insufficient preload spacers, and if I were to have a guess it would be coming from the dampening leg. It sounds as if something has came loose inside and is floating around in there, but the fork is functioning as normal. Any ideas to help me isolate the problem when I take them apart?

Look for anything which could make a "knocking sound of something moving up and down inside, but nothing side to side" hehe.

If its a semi-quiet and dull sounding noise its the bottom out bumper bouncing up and down inside your spring. Some heavy grease on the spring seems to keep it in place a bit better.
