Okay, now that I've got your attention, who cares about underwear.

Looking through Derek's photos I realized that I don't own any real cycling pants or shorts not unlike a few of the stars in Derek's photos. I just use cargo shorts in the summer and whatever pants I'm wearing in the winter, usually denim. What do you all wear, do you find that you absolutely can't ride in a pair of old jeans?

i didnt do any of the choices in the survey. if im dirt jumpin or riding urban jeans are ok or whatever shorts im wearing. If im shuttling or riding where there will be a lot pedaling i prefer lined baggies or in the winter i wear full length tights under my baggies.

NORCAL is the hizzle
I'm with Biggins, 'cept I never need full length tights, knee warmers or knickers are enough for riding all year in Norcal, including cold rainy night rides, whatever. Honestly I have smacked my nuts around enough that I prefer lycra when jumping/urban too, under baggies or jeans, but it depends on how much riding and how much posing will be happening on any given day, 'cuz I hate wearing lycra unless I'm riding.

It's not about being fashionable for me, it's about being safe. If I'm riding in the backcountry I want to wear wicking, insulating stuff to keep my temperature stable. Same goes for DH.

The lifts around here can be dangerously long and cold, so i wear wicking insualtive fabrics where appropriate. For racing I wear whatever is fastest, so usually a skinsuit. Skinsuits rock. When i go to the bmx track I wear size 48 jeans, danglers and lots of studded wrist bands, because I'm cool.

I've started to wear jeans and Dickies for everything during the winter. During the summer I usually wear baggys for DJing and goofing off. For DH and shuttling I wear TLD moto shorts cuz they are so airy and comfortable.

D&G jeans from 99 bought on sale (only the finest) and Vans army off the wall for shorts when its too hot to ride the jeans. The Vans are not a MTB short and I have spend severel Firday nights putting them back together and fixing holes. That is just what I have and I couldn't give a damm. I don't like all the mtb clothing you can buy except if Todd will sponsor an Iron Horse shirt for the new season but I have to improve on my brown nosing (don't tell Todd).
