Team DRD Tomac is proud to announce that our junior development rider, Brad King, has been invited to two World Cup races Champery, SUI & Val di Sole, ITA, under the guidance of Scott Sharples! This is an experience of a lifetime, as Brad will be provided with professional guidance and experience needed for his Junior World Championship campaign, as well as his future professional racing career.
However, Brad needs your help! As a small privateer team, I am unfortunately unable to afford the additional costs needed to send Brad on this trip. At the same time, Brad will be starting college in just a few shorts months, this is bad timing financially. However, we are working hard to help him with this fundraiser.
For those who arent that familiar with Brad, hes a rider that any team manager or sponsor could dream for! A highly talented & personable young man who is not only committed to his racing, but also to his education. An astute student at Hemet High school, Brad has been accepted to the California State University at San Marcos. On the track, Brad is a extremely fast & consistent racer; he has been on every podium this season thus far!
How much is needed?
We are looking to raise $4500, which will cover costs of airfare & transportation, lodging, food, race entry & other misc. expenses. However, any size donation is appreciated. Every little bit helps! (If the funds arent acquired, all donations will be refunded.)

Why is this experience so important?
This trip will give Brad the opportunity to gain valuable race experience, and if selected for the National team (which we are confident he will be), prepare for the World Championships, as well as his future racing career.
Who is Scott Sharples?
Scott Sharples is a well know & highly regarded person, who is well adept at coaching rising mtb athletes. He is currently working with USA Cycling, helping to direct the USs junior mtb gravity racers. Prior to his USAC involvement, Scott was the Junior downhill coach for the Australian national team & also coached many of the worlds fastest mountain bike athletes & 4 World Champions, including Sam Hill.
