Brake Issue

I have some Diatech Anchor Brakes. I noticed that the front wheel did not spin and found out that the calipers closed in on the rotor (I am not sure how this happened and if someone knows, please tell me). I later took out the wheel and squeezed the lever, which made one of the pistons come out almost completely. I then took the caliper apart, got the piston that was almost out, out and put it back in all the way down. A lot of the fluid from the caliper leaked out as I did this (note: I had the caliper apart when I did this, so I am not sure if anything bad happened).

Anyway, now that the pistons are fully down, and I squeeze them they barely, I mean barely close. So what happened? Will the problem be solved by adding brake fluid (I did not add fluid after it leaked out from the time when I pushed the piston in)?

as much as you need to add fluid (which you likely do) you need to get the air out. air is squishy. get your brake bled
