Hey, all, my buddy just un-buried his ancient GT Dyno, with white mag wheels, and he's just cruising around town on it. Brakes are not exactly stopping him, though...what's the preferred brake pad for these old wheels? I thought of buying him some Plasmatics (he wants lock-up power...), but I don't even know if v-brake pads will work in U-brakes...

mags are not popular for a reason. brakes SUCK no matter what pads you use. the only real way to get your brakes to work ok, is to clean the pads and rims often. like hourly.....
