So, currently I have Mono M4's front and back on my hardtail, with 200mm rotors. I am planning to switch them to my new DH bike once I get it and just put the Hayes from that on my HT. The only problem is that my new bike will have an '05 boxxer team (IH Sunday Team) complete with that neato 'lets be different' Boxxer break mounts. The question is: is there an adapter or any way I can use my current caliper on the Boxxer without buying a new front break?

you might be in luck. Hope now makes 225mm or is it 255mm rotors, one of the two. Now if they make an adapter to go from IS to Boxxer and you use the new super big rotor it would work. Or else yes you might have to get a new caliper. :(

You need a new caliper, and I'm not aware of a Boxxer adaptor. Even if they did if you factored in the cost of the adaptor and large rotor its probably more than a caliper itself.

Alright, so it seems my options are 1. New caliper half or 2. Adapter + huge rotor or 3. trade. Guess I'll try to find out which is cheaper, or trade for a new one.

I'm not sure Option #2 even exists...
And it seems you are right, I couldn't figure out a combo of adapters/rotors from Hope's site to make it work. Oh well, anyone got a Boxxer caliper for trade?

Well if you want to go with lame stereotypes....go hop downhill on your kangaroo at the same time, while your heading down the hill, stop at the prison and go back to your roots.

You could always get Hayes :)

I dunno why Hope does this. They make all their parts easy to get but jesus, it seems like a PITA to switch forks with their brakes. I guess once you've done it enough you have all the parts for the future.

And as far as the company's going to non IS standard it's bull*$&t. I guess it takes away the "standard" out of that huh? Stupid tards....

Actually, No. If you are on any fork that uses a standard disc tab setup you can use the same caliper. Now with the 225mm rotors even if you had a caliper for a 8in rotor on an IS fork and switch to a manitou all you need is an adapter and a 225 rotor. With the mono6s, you just need to change out the mounting plate that is screwed onto the caliper to get it to work with any fork. Boxxers and their damn retarded disc tabs have always caused problems when switching brakes using anything non-hayes
