i was there yesterday and it surprised me how dry the mountain was...the 4X and the DH course were closed to keep them in good shape for the race...the forecasts dont look that bad...btw they added wooden berm and small bridges to the top technical section...GL for the race!

i have also heard that it is not as wet/muddy as you would expect given all the rain we have had. bromont isnt all that bad in the wet anyways. doesnt grease up like most mountains in the east.

I'm going with muddy and wet. Maybe it'll rain while you're there!
try again... course is in perfect shape, drains well, dries quick.

tons of work has been done on the track so regardless of weather it will be good. there will be some slick spots here and there if it rains but for the most part the track is gravel/rock based and lots of gravel, cement, and wood has been used to ensure a good track no matter what.

a lot of race organizers and track builders could learn from the staff at bromont in regards to track preperation.

I hate Neko in a good way.

Great to see that he put in a 3rd place finish with a field like that.

Great job Neko!!!!!!

Accidentally skipped over Adam Morse's 15th place finish, sorry Adam, great result there.
yea, i was surprised to do that well, i had a timely mistake in the middle, and an overall conservative run because of a bad hand (didnt even practice on friday). but only missed being on the podium with sam hill by 2.5 seconds, damn it! not to mention the payout and uci points too... :banghead:

neko's 2:55 with the broken chain was impressive, he would have been battling mitch for 2nd if it weren't for that...

Just saw this vid on "La bicyclette rose" http://www.pinkbike.com/video/86091/ and seem to have spotted an Evil in there... General Lee, was that you? looked muddy as hell and not much fun to ride...
myself, and one other guy (from calgary i believe) were on evils

as for the mud... it was awesome actually. it rained hard about once every hour so the mud stayed wet/light and the rocks were clean. the dirt there is very gravel and rock based so it really never got slick.

race runs for the last 20 guys were awesome... it poured while we were on the lift and made the track super fun

That guy booting that rock to the off-camber-ish wooden transition in the slop (0:20) is pretty f-ing badass.
I sure hope they leave those new wooden berms in there once the races are done. making some of those corners without the berms was beginning to be an exercise in futility (for me at least!) in slippery conditions...
