338 lm is by far the most accurate long range round on the market that is re loadable and reliable.

way more accurate than a .50 cal and alot cheaper to build ammo for. with the right conditions it will shoot over 1 1/2 mile

didnt the longest kill use that at somewhere around 2500 meters or something crazy like that??

there was a canadian that hit that mark but it took him 4 rounds to do it.

I am going to head out to eastern oregon this winter and get some video of the rifle drilling coyotes. the atmospheric condition out there in the winters are perfect for long range stuff. I will set up a two mile range with steels and see what it will do.

my armalite 338 will only do about 1200 accurately since there are cheaper than most. but it is still really accurate for a semi auto.

I have one of those too! shilo sharps 1874 in 45-70 govt. when I sold my half of the gun store in 2000 it was part of the deal. it was worth 16k then, who knows what its worth now. .....big difference since back in the day. 400 yards was unheard of
