Maybe it's the Arab way of resolving conflict???

Well....That might well be true, But I thought one of the reasons we went into Iraq was to stop Saddam from torturing and Killing Iraqis? At least that's what the fourth or fifth revision of history by the Bush Administration says.

Is it O.K. because they are "our" Iraqis?

You guys need to remember that when "they" torture people, it is unacceptable. But when "we" torture people, we are fighting terrorism.

No, the reason we went after Saddam was the threat of WMD's....

Weapons of Mass Distraction, I remeber those. I think we ran out of those after we won back in May of '04, right?

I think the only thing we fear from Saddam is more pics of him in his BVD's.

No no no... it was because "this was the guy that tried to kill my Daddy."

I wish I could drop $300B of other peoples' money to avenge an ATTEMPTED murder.

Wait guys, I have a problem with this. We're now getting our own theories (okay, truths) mixed-up. Pick one, the reason to invade Iraq was:
1) Oil
2) Strawberry poptarts
3) Attempted murder
4) Freedom & liberty
5) God said so
6) Terrorism in Afganistan
7) The Bush family investment portfolio only grew 25% in the previous year.

Please feel free to add more reasons as you see fit.

The ones Clinton completely destroyed before leaving office?

First it was WMD.
When that was discredited it was Saddam supporting terrorists and (/11.
After that was discredited it was to spread Democracy to the middle east.
When folks in the middle east took offense at our methods of spreading democracy it finally (after two years) it was because Saddam was killing and torturing the Iraqi people.
Now, when it turned out we were almost as good as Saddam at causing death, destruction and torture it's "Stay the course" and "Don't cut and run" being spouted by the men who got draft deferments and prefer-ed National Guard service.

I'm sick of the whole thing.

As a veteran I see my fellow soldier, sailors and marines being wasted in a cause that seem fruitless and misguided.

As a taxpayer I sick of seeing money poured into a black hole as the national debt tops $7,000,000,000,000 and we are adding $500 billion per year to that. Meanwhile social programs are cut and the rich get huge tax cuts.

As a Buddhist I see the suffering caused by the war and I want to puke. Before the first gulf war Iraq was a prosperous country. Now people are lucky to survive. Too many people are dying and far too many people are coming home physically or mentally crippled. Society is going to bear that burden for a long time.

Which the US adminsitration knew full well didn't exist. Besides, that was excuse #2.

Excuse #1 was the war on terrorism. Apparently Saddaam himself flew planes into buildings if you believe the official US administration's story.

Put a cork in it Mr. Maple Leaf, we all know the intelligence community is to blame for all this.
