Weight? Engaugment system? Seems like a bunch of cash to flop out with no info on them

I've got a set as has my girlfriend on her bike.

Front 20mm I weighed at 178g, rear I can't actually remember, but it was marketed as the lightest 150mm rear hub available. I do recall it being lighter than a Hope Pro 2 that I weighed, which is significantly lighter than the likes of King, Hadley, DT etc etc.

The only hubs I can think of that are lighter are the Tune King/Kong combo, but they are over $1000 for the hubs alone (using current exchange rates).

The Burg's arn't silly money thankfully. 48pt engagament so pickup is good & they are nice & quiet too.

Both of ours have been brilliant - can't recommend them enough. Disco Camo went down well with my girlfriend too :D

Thanks mate. I'd love to see inside the hub and check the mechanism, I wonder how much lighter than the 300gram hope it can be? Its pretty lame to say lightest 150 hub and not list a weight. :)

Does teh tune make a 150mm hub?

I believe its a normal 4 pawl system, similar to the old Hope Bulb (but with 4 pawls). It wasn't much lighter than 300g, it was only 'just' lighter than the Pro 2 & thats what, 299/298g?

Tune do indeed make a 150mm hub, its called the Kong MK, and it comes in at 248g. So the Burg is definately NOT the lightest 150mm rear hub any more. Tune also has 72pt pickup! Picture below:

Thats cool. Huge flanges. I like flanges. haha

I thought I had seen a 150 tune before, but could never find any more info that that. Wow, 429 euros. Jeepers.

Everyone likes a bit of flange :p

Not cheap at all, but it doesn't get any more pimp than Tune IMO :)

I'd love a set of Tune built up wheels, but I would need a mortgage!

I've seen the tune shells cracked right open. Not a DH part by any means.

I had a pair of Tune XC hubs. They were great until the flanges cracked and the spokes started ripping out. When the rear went I had a long and anxious ride home on a progrssively disintegrating wheel.

Light, sexy but not reliable.
