President Bush declined an invitation to speak at the NAACP's annual convention, the group said.

Bush spoke at the 2000 NAACP convention in Baltimore when he was running for president.

NAACP spokesman John White said Wednesday that Bush has declined invitations in each year of his presidency -- becoming the first president since Herbert Hoover not to attend an NAACP convention.

Doesn't Bush realize that he could've used it to get some black kids to join the military and go die for him and his Halliburton friends?

plus, last year I had a job for six months that was insanely boring and I posted a lot. I post a fair amount at my current gig, but I like this one and enjoy the projects.

Like a Bush appearance at a meeting of ultra-liberal black folks would be benifical to either group.
